Family-run, family friendly
Kermans Flooring is a proud family-run business that has served Indianapolis and surrounding areas since 1921. Kermans was founded by Robert J. Benjamin, born in 1896 in the northwest city of Rezaiyeh, Persia. He made his way to the United States at the age of 16, with no money or knowledge of the English language, young Mr. Benjamin was determined to start a new life. He married in 1921, and started Kerman Oriental Rug Company the same year, full of his ambition to become a successful American businessman.
By the 1960s, Benjamin’s three sons were also working in the family business and Kermans Oriental Rug Company became Kermans Flooring as it expanded to become a complete floor covering business and one of the premier flooring stores in the state of Indiana.
Today, Kermans is run by the third generation of the Benjamin family. We are proud to be the largest supplier of floor covering to Central Indiana new home builders and even prouder to offer Indianapolis home owners every day value on high quality carpet, rugs, hardwood and tile.
